The offseason short series picked up with the penultimate night of races.
Talladega never failed to dissapoint as Big Joe leading in turn 4 gets spun out and Michael Gray takes the advantage and wins over newcomer Glen Meiring. Points leader Joe Hassert extended points lead to 36 over the absent Chris Lanini. Mosport was the 2nd race of the night. Jesse Vincent takes pole and flexes his road prowess to lead wire to wire over Michael Gray. Big Joe extended points lead to 46 over Jesse Vincent, who took over 2nd in the standings which can be found here. With 2 drop races and 2 races left the championship is far from decided. Races will be held with a short sprint at Gateway and the finale an 80 lap shootout at Auto Club. Room opens at 9:10pm central with qualifying at 9:30. 7 days to season 2!

The offseason short series had an unforseen delay on Tuesday 12-23. Races will be made up on Tuesday 12-30 with the finale on Wednesday 12-31!
The All- star race had some fireworks and of course drama at the end. A caution on lap 1 took out a number of drivers narrowing the field for a mostly clean race. Coming to the Checkers was Jesse Vincent John Downing and Adam Plunkett, with Jesse getting the victory by a margin of .026.
Offseason Short Series continues Tuesday 12-23 at Talladega and Mosport. Our 2015 season starts 1-7! Schedule The final race of the Week 13 challenge wasn't without its late race drama, per usual. Joe Hassert and Vern Hawkins led most of the way 1-2 but a late race caution brought out a green- white-checkered finish in which Vern went sliding through the infield grass coming to the white flag and Joe overtaking Chris Lanini on the frontstretch to win the finale and put a stamp on his week 13 dominance. Joe finished with 3 wins and 6 top 5 finishes in the 7 race series. Standings
Other top week 13 performers- Jorge Anzaldo- 4 top 5 Drew Motz- 1 Win 3 top 5 Tuesday at 945 central is the Last Chance Qualifier for the All star race. Top 2 advance to the All star on Wednesday. Dylan was able to hold off Robert Blouin and Richard Behr in a 1 lap dash for the checkers. After dominating early points leader Joe Hassert hits the wall navigating traffic, then gets collected in a crash, but still manages to clinch the Week 13 challenge.
At Homestead Joe started on pole and lead 41 laps getting out to a 4.4 second lead over newcomer Vick Caudill after green flag stops were made. It wasn't enough though, as Vick on fresher tires, ran down Joe with 2 laps to go passing easily and scoring the victory. Joe widened his lead to 2 points over Drew Motz, and has all but clinched the challenge with 2 races to go.
Saturday night brings us to Indianapolis where disaster struck for the points leader during the Short season series Wednesday night. What will this race have in store? Thursday night the Week 13 Challenge stopped at Pocono where a small field was one that Joe Hassert was ready to take advantage of and he did scoring the victory by an impressive margin and taking the outright lead in the challenge. Would Friday night be more of the same dominance seen throughout the week?
A busy night for Lionheart today. Week 13 challenge continued this afternoon at Texas with Joe Hassert leading all but 1 lap en route to a 3.6 second interval win over Drew Motz. Joe takes the points lead in the week 13 Challenge with a 4 way tie behind him between Drew, Jon Goke, Trevor Malone, and Jorge Anzaldo. Standings. Challenge continues tomorrow at Auto Club.
Race 1 was a hard fought battle with Rick Music topping Tim Doyle. Both drivers combined to lead all 22 laps. Points leader Joe Hassert wrecks in the final corner to take 13th and gives up major points in the standings.
The favorite Jesse Vincent didn't dissapoint and dominated from start to finish winning pole position and leading wire to wire becoming the 4th winner in 4 races. Chris Lanini kept it close but in the end fell back finishing 2nd. Points leader Joe Hassert finishes 4th and holds a 3 point lead over Chris Lanini. Series takes a break for the All-star race and continues December 23.
