dmlc racing channel named title sponsor to lionheart speedway series

The DMLC Racing Channel and the Lionheart Racing Series today have announced a naming rights sponsorship for Lionheart’s brand-new Lionheart Speedway Series.
 
Now known as the Lionheart Speedway Series Presented by DMLC Racing Channel, the oval only series will return Lionheart back to where it all started by utilizing the DW-12 IndyCar. The Lionheart IndyCar Series competed for 5 full seasons with the DW-12 before switching over to the modern IR-18 in 2017. This new series brings back the excitement and competitiveness that is special to IndyCar oval racing.
 
DMLC Racing Channel founder Marc Cohn - the Lionheart Retro Series Driver of the Year in 2019 wanted to return to full time competition in the Lotus 79 and felt it best to move his title sponsorship support onto Lionheart’s newest series.
 
“Lionheart gave me opportunities beyond my wildest imagination,” Cohn said. “Whether it was furthering myself as a driver, improving the quality of my channel’s content, or getting the chance to join the family of tight-knit sim racers with amazing camaraderie, Lionheart has meant everything to me over these last few years. I’m looking forward to stepping back into the virtual Lotus 79 cockpit while also giving support to Lionheart’s newest endeavor.”
 
The DMLC Racing Channel was founded in 2018 by Cohn, a lifelong racing enthusiast who wanted to share his passion for sim racing with others. His channel has become famous in the open-wheel community for its humor and Marc’s constant dialogue throughout his races. Cohn has also earned a reputation as a fierce yet clean competitor, capable of winning any event he enters, adding to the excitement of his content.
 
Lionheart Racing Series founder Jorge Anzaldo said he was excited to see Cohn continue his association with the league and support for its newest series.


“Marc’s support has meant so much to this league,” Anzaldo said. “Marc has made significant contributions, not only as a driver but as a member of the family. Marc has been a true friend and when he approached me about sponsoring our new Speedway Series, I couldn't say no.”
 
The Lionheart Speedway Series Presented by DMLC Racing Channel kicks off its 18-race season on Thursday, March 15th at Twin Ring Motegi. All races can be viewed live on Racespot TV as well as ESTV.
