The Lionheart Racing Series announced today a landmark partnership with Clipping That Apex, the premier place for custom racing artwork.
Lionheart founder Jorge Anzaldo and Clipping That Apex founder Scott MacKenzie made the announcement as MacKenzie continues work on a one-of-a-kind, custom piece of art celebrating the life of Lionheart member and admin Patrick Taylor, who lost his life suddenly in August, 2017. “I read the memorial page on the Lionheart website and I was taken aback by all of the wonderful words the members had to say about Patrick,” MacKenzie said. “He sounds like an amazing person and I understand why his passing left such an impact on the league.” The custom artwork, which depicts Taylor’s No. 81 DW12 at Imola, will be awarded to the winner of the Lionheart IndyCar Series presented by First Medical Equipment Indianapolis 500, set for Sunday, July 15. “Patrick was the heart and soul of our league, and this is an incredible way to honor his legacy,” Anzaldo said. “We can’t thank Scott and Clipping That Apex enough. I’m a fan of his work, and I’m excited to have developed a relationship with them.” Prints of the custom 18” x 24” artwork will be available for purchase as well, limited to 81 to honor Taylor. The partnership between Clipping That Apex, your home for custom motorsports art, and Lionheart, expands to include several pieces of custom artwork; second and third place in the Lionheart IndyCar Series presented by First Medical Equipment Indianapolis 500, as well as the Lionheart Retro Series finale at Auto Club Speedway podium, will each receive custom work. The Retro Series team champions will also win $20 gift cards to use on Clipping That Apex art. The Lionheart IndyCar Series presented by First Medical Equipment runs on Wednesday’s, starting with the Season 6 All-Star Race on March 14.
